Angry at Bayer Munich for Lewandowski Barcelona
After Julian Nagelsmann questioned Bayern Munich about the Catalan giants’ summer expenditure, Barcelona retaliated by criticizing Bayern.
Nagelsmann, the 35-year-old manager of Bayern Munich, had expressed surprise at Barcelona’s summer transfer blitz in the midst of their financial difficulty.
He questioned how Barcelona, despite having limited resources, was able to bring in well-known players and retain its great players.
Robert Lewandowski, a goal-scoring dynamo for Bayern Munich, was one of the high-profile players Barcelona wooed to Camp Nou this summer.
The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, responded to Nagelsmann’s remark by telling reporters:
“Germany-related comments? I would advise them to examine their bank account because [Robert] Lewandowski has brought in some significant funds. They falsify reality through their actions.
“They failed to account for Barcelona’s strength. We are quite aware, I assure those who are astonished.
“We have re-entered the market. An organization with a history spanning more than 122 years carries a lot of weight, power, and importance.
Let them be calm since they still have plenty of room to surprise you.
