Arteta is concerned about an injury to an Arsenal player
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has acknowledged that he is worried about Emile Smith Rowe’s persistent injury problems.
Smith Rowe had a strong start to the 2021/2022 campaign, scoring nine goals in 19 games and receiving his first call-up to the England team.
However, the midfielder’s persistent groin issue made it difficult for him to continue his strong play, and Gabriel Martinelli eventually replaced him in Arteta’s starting XI.
Smith Rowe won’t play against Brentford on Sunday since he hasn’t started a game yet this year.
At a news conference, Arteta discussed Smith Rowe’s difficulties staying in shape, saying: “I’m concerned about the fact that we don’t have him accessible and that when he’s been attempting to train he hasn’t been feeling 100% or pain-free.
“The primary issue is this. That requires a solution, which we are working to discover.
