As the US assassinates Al-Qaeda Leader Al-zawahiri Fani Kayode criticizes the federal government for pardoning terrorists
Femi Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister, applauded the execution of Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s successor.
Al-Zawahiri was killed by American soldiers on Monday during a strike in Afghanistan, dealing the terrorist network a long-needed blow.
Al-Zawahiri was murdered by a U.S. airstrike that President Biden had authorized in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Osama bin Laden, the former head of Al-Qaeda, was mentored by al-Zawahiri before he was assassinated by American forces in Pakistan in 2011.
Fani-Kayode responded by criticizing the Nigerian government for paying terrorists rather than executing them.
He tweeted:
“Osama Bin Ladin, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, and now Ayman Al Zawahiri were all slain by the Americans. Kudos! In Nigeria, we don’t execute terrorists; instead, we beg, pay, placate, reward, and kneel down to them, bestowing chieftaincy titles on them and allowing them to enter prisons to liberate their brethren.
