Belmadi the Algerian coach releases his 24-man roster for the Super Eagles match


Djamel Belmadi, the head coach of the Algerian Desert Foxes, has selected a 24-man team to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly.

Belmadi removed several regulars from the list that was made public on Saturday morning.

Rais M’Bohli, the team’s first-choice keeper, was benched in favor of Alexandre Oukidja.

Nabil Bentaleb rejoins the team in midfield after years of being ignored by Belmadi.

Houssem Mrezigue of Chabab Belouizdad also received his first call-up.

In place of Andy Derlot, the seasoned striker Baghdad Bounedjah was overlooked.

On Tuesday, September 27, the Desert Foxes and the Super Eagles will face off at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran.

Atal, Zedadka, Benyada, Bensebaini, Mandi, Bedrane, Tougai, and Touba are the defenders.

Bennacer, Zerrouki, Boudaoui, Zorgane, Bentaleb, and Mrezigue are midfielders.
