Despite the ASUU strike Kaduna University begins the second semester

Both undergraduate and graduate students at Kaduna State University have started the second semester of the 2020–2021 academic year (KASU).

The second semester exam that was postponed due to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike action, which began in February of this year, has reportedly begun at the school.

Professor Abdullahi Ashafa, the acting vice chancellor of Kaduna State University, told Channels Television that since there is no ongoing labor dispute between the institution and the local ASUU branch, the student does not need to be kept at home.

Ashafa cautioned that failure to return to class as scheduled by the university administration will have serious repercussions for both students and teachers.
