Finally CAF has issued a statement regarding Nigeria hosting the 2025 World Cup

Claims that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is thinking of denying Guinea the right to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have been refuted.

According to rumors, the political climate in the West African nation will prevent it from hosting Africa’s premier soccer competition.

Since a coup in 2021, Guinea has been ruled by the military, and there are worries about the country’s security condition.

Most analysts are concerned about the nation’s capacity to host the competition.

Amaju Pinnick, the president of the Nigerian Football Federation, stated on Tuesday that talks were underway for Nigeria and its neighbor, the Benin Republic, to co-host the event.

CAF has now denied rumors that it is considering giving away the right to host the 2025 tournament to another nation.

Guinea will continue to serve as the host nation for the 2025 competition, the CAF told BBC Sports Africa.

We haven’t talked about a replacement or heard anything from Guinea regarding their inability to host. There is nothing to suggest otherwise at this time, everything is set up for Guinea to host.
