Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal reveals the Premier League competitor he will face for the Golden Boot
The new Tottenham forward Richarlison has been identified by Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus as the opponent for the Premier League Golden Boot at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old extolled the virtues of his fellow Brazilian, who was just signed by Tottenham, Arsenal’s northern rivals.
Both players switched teams this summer, with Richarlison moving from Everton to Tottenham for $52 million and Jesus moving from Manchester City to the Emirates for £45 million.
Jesus told Sky Sports, “I hope we can both be competing for the Golden Boot at the conclusion of the season.”
When asked who he believed would score more goals in the upcoming season, the 25-year-old was responding.
“I enjoy him. He is an excellent person. incredible player
I thus wish him the best. However, not against Arsenal,” he said.
In 159 Premier League games for Manchester City since his debut in January 2017, Jesus has tallied 58 goals and provided 29 assists.
