In honor of the Queen the British High Commission closes its doors
The country’s British High Commissions will be closed on Monday in Abuja, Lagos, and other locations.
The announcement was made in a succinct statement on the UK Mission in Nigeria’s social media platforms.
It stated that the closure was made in respect of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
However, the notice also stated that the Lagos and Abuja visa application centers will continue to be open.
The nation’s capital’s Cathedral Church of Advent hosted a memorial ceremony for the Queen on Thursday.
The late Commonwealth leader will be laid to rest next to her husband, Prince Philip, at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
The Queen of England, who was born in London on April 21, 1926, passed dead at Balmoral Castle on September 8, 2022.
