Lalong: I’ll Do My Best To Get Tinubu There

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s nominee for president in the 2023 election, has the support of Simon Lalong, who was recently appointed Director-General of the Tinubu Campaign Organization and Governor of Plateau State.

Lalong spoke on Thursday after traveling from Abuja to Jos, where he was welcomed by Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired) and introduced by APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

“Governor Lalong stated his nomination as the DG, Tinubu Campaign Organization is a strong indicator that the APC is well accepted in Plateau State and has the capacity to deliver in the upcoming elections,” read a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr. Macham Makut.

According to him, the campaign council will make a concerted effort to mobilize the party in order to canvass Nigerians’ votes on all issues.

The governor stated that the APC is certain to win because it will continue to work to improve Nigerians’ lives while responding to questions from journalists.

After a meeting with Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Adamu previously told State House reporters about Lalong’s appointment.

The governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, is the campaign’s director of operations, he had said.

“Have Festus Kenyamo serve as your spokesperson. Hannatu Musawa serves as the deputy spokesman. We came here to talk to the President about this.

Lalong was chosen, according to Adamu, because of his capacity to put in the necessary effort to secure success for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket in the upcoming presidential elections.

He referred to the party’s same-faith slate as a “good development” for the political landscape of the nation.

Yes, we have noticed concerns being voiced. No matter what label or faith you may assign to any of our candidates, the APC firmly believes that we are first and foremost Nigerians, regardless of any other considerations.

“There is no question that some of these theological problems are the subject of stock trading.

“Christians applaud a Muslim-Muslim ticket as a beneficial trend in Nigerian politics, just as other individuals have expressed anxieties or reservations about such a ticket. They are from Nigeria, he declared.
