Man United’s Star Defensive Player Wants to Go to Rome with Jose Mourinho
Eric Bailly, another star for Manchester United, is open to following Jose Mourinho to AS Roma.
Recall that this summer, Mourinho acquired Nemanja Matic from Manchester United.
Roma has been in contact with the former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager about a possible summer transfer for Bailly.
As a result of the addition of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax, Man United will permit the departure of three defenders this summer: Bailly, Phil Jones, and Axel Tuanzebe.
The 28-year-old made an impression while on Man United’s preseason tour of Asia and Australia, and it is believed that his top choice is to remain at Old Trafford and compete for a spot.
The Ivory Coast international is scheduled to meet with Man United manager Erik ten Hag, but Roma is interested in luring Bailly to Serie A. Should he feel that his playing time will be restricted, he will welcome the chance to negotiate a switch to the Giallorossi, according to Sky Sports.
After Mourinho arrived at Old Trafford in 2016, Bailly became his first acquisition.
The center back came from Villarreal of the Spanish LaLiga to join Man United.
