Memphis Depay may soon leave Barcelona (See Details)
Memphis Depay, a forward for Barcelona, has changed his mind about leaving the team this summer.
Depay has ruled out any chance of leaving Barcelona in June.
A year after joining Barcelona, Depay is reportedly wanting to depart, according to the Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.
The former Manchester United player has acknowledged that his time at Camp Nou is up in light of the club’s aggressive hiring this summer.
After his contract with Lyon expired last summer, Depay moved to the Catalan club as a free agent. He went on to score 13 goals in 38 appearances for the Blaugrana this past season.
However, Barcelona has added five players, and two of them present Depay with more competition for a spot in Xavi’s starting XI.
Following his £42 million transfer from Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski is supposed to be the focal point of Barcelona. Raphinha, a winger from Leeds United, has also joined the club in a deal worth up to £55 million.
After being forced to give Lewandowski the number nine jersey at Barcelona, speculation about Depay’s future has increased.
Depay is rumored to be interested in joining Tottenham, Juventus, Newcastle, Lyon, and Paris Saint-Germain as Barcelona is eager to let some players go so they can sign their new arrivals despite their well-known financial problems.
