Messi’s return: Barcelona President Laporta Says “I Think We Can Make It Happen”
The club’s president, Joan Laporta, has expressed his desire to re-sign Lionel Messi.
Laporta stated that he would adore for Messi to retire at Camp Nou to a standing ovation.
“I owe Leo Messi a debt of gratitude. I’d really like for him to finish his career at Barcelona to standing ovations in every stadium. I believe we can accomplish it.
“That’s our goal, and Leo and I have a clear aim,”
Last summer, Messi signed a free agency contract with Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Barca.
During his first season in Ligue 1, the 35-year-old struggled and managed just six goals in France’s top division.
