“No More Wars” a new song by Made Kuti
Mádé Kuti, an Afrobeat performer and Grammy nominee, has just dropped a new song titled “No more conflicts.” The single, which is a part of his upcoming album, was released on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Mádé Kuti wrote and delivered the song, while GMK and Sodi Marciszewer, who worked with Fela Kuti on six songs, produced it.
The multi-instrumentalist gives a powerful vocal performance on the song, which promotes the need of embracing peace and reawakening true ideals amid difficult times.
“No more wars” follows the success of Mádé Kuti’s debut album, “For’e’ward,” which was released in tandem with his father’s album under the name Legacy+.
Mádé Kuti’s new music combines soulful Afrobeat chords, horns, and voices to create a distinctive sound that will appeal to both young and older Nigerians as well as international audiences. It draws from a rich well of knowledge and understanding of insecurity and global wars as well as the Afrobeat storytelling tradition.
The song touches on the global insecurity that is currently roiling both Nigeria and other countries. Made wants to encourage people, nations, and decision-makers to put down their weapons and work toward a peaceful future.
On Friday, August 5, 2022, “No more conflicts” was made available on all streaming services.
