On Beyonce’s upcoming album singer Tems is credited as a songwriter
Temilade Openiyi, a.k.a. Tems, a Nigerian singing sensation, has been listed as a songwriter on American artist Beyonce’s upcoming album.
The tracklist for Queen Bee’s upcoming album, “Renaissance,” which will be released on June 29, was finally made public on Wednesday, July 20.
There are 16 songs on the singer’s seventh studio album, “Break My Soul,” the sixth of which is the previously released club anthem.
Under her full name, Temilade Openiyi, Nigerian singer Tems was listed as one of the project’s songwriters on the ninth track, titled “Move.”
The “Essence” crooner, who has been making waves on the international scene, has now collaborated with Beyonce and Future, two of America’s top vocalists.
Beyonce, a 28-time Grammy Award winner, stated on her Instagram page when she revealed the album’s tracklist,
“It was a scary moment for the world, and making this record gave me a place to escape and dream. In a period when not much else was moving, it gave me the freedom and adventure I needed.
“My goal was to make a welcoming, judgment-free space. a location where overthinking and perfectionism are not allowed. a location where one can yell, let off steam, and experience liberation. It was a lovely exploring adventure. I sincerely hope you enjoy this music. I’m hoping it motivates you to let go of the jiggle. Ha! And to feel as special, powerful, and alluring as you are.”
