The letter stated: “The Ministry of Education has made the list of Anambra State’s unapproved schools public. The schools listed below are no longer considered private institutions because they are not permitted to operate in the State.

The risk of being disqualified from taking any State or federal exams, such as the Transition Placement Exams, First School Leaving Examination Exams, Basic Education Certificate Exams (BECE), Senior School Certificate Exams (WAEC/NECO), etc., is present for pupils and students in these schools by doing this.

“Owners of such schools are recommended to register their enterprises and follow the guidelines for school inspection,” the statement reads.

Parents were urged to take their kids out of school right now and find alternative arrangements for enrolling them in state-approved institutions.

Even though the notification was unsigned, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, the Commissioner for Education, confirmed when Daily Post called her that the notice was from her ministry and had just been posted to the ministry’s website by the information unit.
