Peter Obi: Politicians must use their positions to serve the public
According to ABN TV, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, asked political office holders to use their privileges to assist the people and end their suffering.
In a meeting with party leaders and some Christian leaders on Saturday in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, Buhari expressed dissatisfaction with the rising suffering of Nigerians.
Former Anambra state governor Obi said that some states still owe their government personnel and retirees salary, gratuities, and pensions.
He urged them to quit abusing God’s grace and do their best to serve the people, claiming that holding political power is only possible via God’s grace.
The presidential candidate declared that the Nigeria of his dreams is not a nation where the average person cannot afford to buy food.
He urged the populace to research political candidates’ platforms before endorsing them.
Obi asserted that Nigeria should be a nation that produces rather than consumes, and he promised that if he were to be elected the country’s next president, Abia would quickly rise to prominence as a major exporter of shoes.
