Big Brother Naija 2020 winner Laycon said he entered the profession in 2012 but that people didn’t start to take an interest in him until he released Fierce.

Since 2016, I have begun performing music. Since 2012, I have been putting out songs. I believe that “Who is Laycon?” or the song “Fierce” is the one that got people asking, “Who is this guy?’ This song became viral, but I didn’t go viral with the music,” he remarked.

Additionally, he claimed that while he was in the house, Afrobeats superstar Davido helped him realize that he has a sizable following base.

Davido was probably the first to tell me that I had no idea what was waiting for me outdoors, according to Laycon.
