Rooney Criticizes Mbappe for Pushing Messi: “He Won 4 Ballon D’ors At Your Age”

Former Manchester United player Wayne Rooney has criticized Kylian Mbappe for how he treats veteran players at French champions PSG.

Concerns about Mbappe’s demeanor have been raised after he was declared the highest-paid player in the world by the French capital club and lately got into disagreements with Neymar and Lionel Messi.

After Neymar had previously missed a penalty during PSG’s game against Montpellier last Saturday, the two got into a fight about who would take it.

Following the incident involving the penalty, the 23-year-old was also seen pushing Lionel Messi when the legendary Argentine failed to pass the ball to him.

And Rooney, who is currently in charge of Major League Soccer’s DC United, has criticized the striker.

According to Marca, he said that “a 23-year-old player commits to challenging Messi” to Depar Sports.

“I’ve never seen someone with a larger ego.

Someone needs to tell Mbappe that Messi already had four Ballon d’Or victories by the time he was 23 years old, he added.
