Scholes instructs Ten Hag to adjust the Man Utd star’s position because “he’s not a winger”
Jadon Sancho is at his best when he plays in the center and combines with Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes, according to Manchester United icon Paul Scholes.
Sancho scored United’s first goal as they defeated FC Sheriff 2-0 on Thursday in the Europa League.
With three goals in his previous six games, the 22-year-old has been on a roll lately.
In Scholes’ opinion, Ten Hag should keep letting Sancho play as an inside winger rather than a classic winger.
“He performs better when he enters the pitch and makes connections with players.
He lacks the fast pace necessary to pass someone on the inside or the outside.
“When he was successful at Dortmund, he always had a partner to link with, whether it was [Erling] Haaland or [Achraf] Hakimi.
Scholes commented on BT Sport, “He may be a good player for United if he can do it with Manchester United, if he can find Fernandes and Eriksen, really clever people to link with.”
