Terrorists attack Katsina Village killing three civilians and five police officers

At least five police officers and three civilians have been killed in a new attack by suspected terrorists, while numerous more have been hurt in Gatigawa village, Kankara Local Government Area, Katsina State.

The dead police officers, who were on special duty in the state from Kano, were killed while fending off an attack on the hamlet, according to SP Gambo Isah, the police spokesman, who confirmed the incident to media on Thursday.

Isah said that at around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, more than 300 terrorists carrying high-tech weaponry stormed the community.

The police photographer also revealed that inquiries are ongoing. adding that the attackers will undoubtedly be held accountable.
