The Ogun Assembly approves a N100.25 billion supplemental budget (Read Details)
The Ogun State House of Assembly approved the Year 2022 Supplementary Appropriations Bill into law, raising the State’s capital spending by an additional N70.94 billion and its recurrent expenditure by N182.48 billion, for a total increase in income of N100.251 billion.
Following the presentation of the report by the House Committee on Finance and Appropriations by its Vice Chairman, Hon. Ganiyu Oyedeji, who then moved the motion for its adoption, seconded by Hon. Haruna Wahab, and supported by the entire House through a unanimous voice vote, the supplementary bill was passed, increasing the initial N350.7bn 2022 Appropriation law to a new N450.98bn.
Thus, during a plenary held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, read and adopted the sectoral allocations chapter by clause.
