Tinubu Can’t Accept Buhari’s Responsibility Thanks to Oshiomhole
According to Adams Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu cannot be held responsible or given credit for the decisions made by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was said by Oshiomhole during a Wednesday interview on Arise TV.
Government critics had made an effort to link Tinubu to some of Buhari’s administration’s shortcomings, particularly in the economy and security sectors.
The former governor of Edo State, however, asserted that Tinubu never held any office in Buhari’s administration and had abstained from accepting any government contracts for the previous seven years.
Therefore, he claimed that it would be incorrect to associate Tinubu with Buhari’s activities.
Oshiomhole asserted that Tinubu is less important to Buhari’s administration than Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who is in charge of the National Executive Council.
You cannot attribute or assign blame for the results of government programs to someone who has never engaged in any form of government activity, the speaker continued.
“I think that when allocating blame or credit to somebody, you look at their part,” Oshiomhole continued. It is a fact that Asiwaju claimed on his own that he did, in fact, co-found the APC. With Fashola and other governors, I helped form the APC, but he never took part in governance, held no official positions, and didn’t carry out any official government business, so how can you give him any credit? Just being fair, this
