Two people are detained by the Lagos State Police in connection with an alleged rape case
Two men have been detained by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly raping a 21-year-old woman.
The assault was committed inside a 2017 Nissan Almera in Ikeja’s Alausa Business District.SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police public relations officer, released a statement on Thursday announcing the arrest.
Around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, Solomon Barry, 37, and Bright Omega, 36, were discovered in the act.
RRS patrolling officers saw a black Nissan Almera parked on M.K.O. Abiola Gardens Road and decided to check it out.
The guy was unconscious and not responding to commands, the operators saw.
The woman was taken to RRS Headquarters for medical assistance after the cops arrested the suspects and took her there. There, she recovered consciousness.
The woman met the suspects at a bar outside Ikeja Shopping Mall, agreed to stay in a hotel, and then they stopped somewhere in the middle, according to preliminary inquiry.
On the direction of Police Commissioner Abiodun Alabi, Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, transferred the case to the Police Gender Unit.
