Unrest as a man exits his casket and is prepared for burial
A man allegedly a native doctor resurrected from the dead as he was ready to be buried, causing a disturbance among the residents of Gidan Angalu community in Toro Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
A medical professional reportedly declared Godwin Ugeelu Amadu, 59, dead in a private hospital around 6 am on September 5, 2022, and he was then brought into the mortuary.
It was discovered that the local doctor had given instructions for his children that he must be buried within three days of his death and that he must not be embalmed with formalin. The family was waiting for the arrival of his eldest son, Mr. Jacob Amadu, who is stationed in Abuja.
After his son arrived, the funeral arrangements were finished in two days, but the deceased native doctor shocked many by rising from the coffin shortly after it had been taken to the cemetery for burial. This caused fear among the mourners.
The local doctor became famous overnight as a result of his well publicized “resurrection” two days after it was determined that he was dead.
